Our History and the Clanic Movement

History of Le Pax Funèbre and Clanic Movement History of Le Pax Funèbre and Clanic Movement

Created in 2010, the ASBL Le Pax Funèbre is federated to a citizen private permanent education movement called “The Clanic Movement”.

The Clanic Movement constitutes the largest private platform of permanent education in Belgium, gathering more than 300 ASBLs, international associations, private foundations and foundations of public utility.

In Belgium, such a movement gathers at least 7 associative bodies sharing a similar goal and objects. The word “Clanic” derives from the Gaelic clann (“family”) and designates a group of families united by the will to exchange their skills freely and for free.

Independence:

The Clanic Movement operates entirely without subsidies or public funding.
